100 Questions for the Webmaster!

1. Please introduce yourself.: heya, I'm Crei or Miecrei and I like niche girls love and izuku midoriya (which may be obvious). I'm this sites webmaster and I'm also filipino yea. I'm also super lesbian aroace
2. How long have you been making websites?: I've been making them since around my birthday of last year which was 16th of october 2025...
3. And what got you into the hobby?: I think it's a series of simple nudges, at first I wanted to learn coding for my toyhouse profiles and spacehey but it was so hard I gave up... then in 2025 I was pissed off that stuff like strawpage & carrd locked basic cool features behind paywalls.

Then i met my mutual on artfight who is now my very awesome!!! friend and saw how cool website making could be... then gabe started his website journey and i was like okay, lets give this a try! and now we're here :P
4. What kind of website are you most interested in?: I like websites that feature sea elements... otherwise I think anything containing its own settings feature is cool, or like archives of their own art and stuff.
5. What's your workflow? Do you plan your websites out thoroughly or do you come up with the design as you go along?: god I wish I planned HAHA. The most planning I do is what the page will be about, otherwise it's just me putting whatever I think would look cool or elements inspired by other cool sites I saw...
6. Please link to your biggest inspirations.: my dear friends avrum who was so cool it beamed onto me and gabe who inspired me to pick this thing back up anyway, hehe. sorry for copying youz gabe
7. What's your favourite part about making websites?: CSS, its kind of like painting. I also love making color palettes for my sites.
8. And the thing you struggle with the most?: Javascript and positioning, next question. shiver
9. Do you keep the same layout on all of your pages? Or do you use different ones?: Nope, I like to experiment mainly, though if the pages are connected by links I tend to use the same layout for them.
10. How confident are you with CSS?: More confident than last year thats for sure, I want to try coding my own Ao3 skin sometime but that'll be when I'm legendary confident, right now I'n just ultra rare.
11. Do you know how to correctly use <dl>?: After making the CSS and studying for this page, heck yeah I do!
12. What is your favourite HTML element?: <br>, <main>, and <hr>
13. If you're making a new web page from scratch, what is the first thing you do?: define the css of the <body>.
14. Do you know JavaScript?: kind of ...? I know how to make elements change with a button but don't ask me what the defn. of arr is
15. How about PHP?: HELL NO!
16. Does your website have a theme that you stick to?: sea theme or izuku as you can tell but sometimes I switch it up
17. Are you more focused on content or design?: i'm more on content, I love styling but content is where it's at for me.
18. Do you own a domain name? If not, would you ever want to?: nope but I'd like to one day!
19. What do you think of nostalgia-focused or "retro" websites?: euu personally i dont really care, so long as they have fun.
20. Is your HTML valid? Do you even check?: um... no and no! I plan to do a check and html fix one day though, I like to think that I've done good so far.
21. What are your opinion on buttons and banners?: love em! i dont like shiny buttons though, they are super pretty but they give me headaches.
22. What do you think of button walls in particular?: i dont know, I've not encountered them.
23. If you started over again, would you make something similar or completely different?: if i started over I think my entire page would be izuku themed lol!! and also moblle friendly. as the site is now I have a feeling mobile friendlyness is hard
24. Are you envious of other people's websites?: ALL THE TIME!!! Everybody on the indie web is so creative that I always become jealous BUT ITS ALWAYS SO COOL...
25. What text editor do you use?: Notepad++!
26. Why do you use that one?: my friend told me about getting a new text editor because neocities one sucks so... I was looking around then got to notepad++ and was like well its good
27. Do you host your image files on your web server, or on another host?: I host them on filegarden, I'm too broke for anything else so i dont really care that its unsafe uu
28. This might not be relevant to you, but what's your opinion on the Neocities vs. Nekoweb debate?: I dont know, I've not heard of the debate besides some of my mutuals talking about moving but to be honest I don't care just do what makes it easier for you.
29. How much server space would you estimate your main website takes up?: uu not including the filegarden hosting its just 333kb right now
30. Do you keep local backups of your files?: yup, too lazy to delete anything tbh
31. Do you prefer simple or highly visual websites?: I love simple ones, I don't know I really do believe in the saying that less is more.
32. Do you stick to certain colours? Do you do that on purpose, or is it your subconscious?: Yes and yes! I pick whatever looks nice to me.
33. Have you ever thought about quitting? Why?: I've thought about it before when this website didnt mean much to me, I thought I'd stop after I got bored but to be honest I can't stop coding ahahahaa, i'm so suprised that i'm still going but i'll continue on!
34. Do you have many webmaster friends, or is it a solitary hobby?: I mentioned them already but yes!!!
35. Do people in your real life know about your website?: onlu my very close friends :P and my ict class but only because I had to write a form...
36. Do you update your website very often? How often is "very often"?: every month I try to get out atleast one update... that's if i'm lucky...
37. And the overall design, do you change that much? Why or why not?: kiiinda??? sometimes I just want another style.
38. Is your website more you-focused, hobby-focused, or outside world-focused?: ME ME ME!!!! the website is all about ME!!!!
39. Do you do web design professionally?: nooope, but I'd like to one day.
40. If not, would you like to? And if you're comfortable answering, what do you do for work?: Yes! as mentioned before. However I am a student lol I just take side gigs as of now for small amounts of money but this is unrelated to web designing

42. Some people reject social media and use websites as a replacement. Do you keep social media outside of your website?: definitely, I may have my socials in the future but more as a "find me here!" thing...
43. How about instant messengers? Do you use a mainstream one like Discord or Telegram? Or something like Matrix? Do you avoid them?: yuup i use discord!
44. Do you listen to music while you work on websites? If so, what kinds of artists?: no i find myself too distracted to do so HAHA
45. Do you keep everything you make on one website, or do you have more than one?: yep everythings here!
46. On a similar note, do you keep to one topic on your site, or many?: MANY!!! i like to talk okay
47. Do you present your real self, or at least try? Or do you construct a persona on purpose?: I am me, whoever I am is me. the only persona I use is for artfight as an oc for lore ahha. I'll only use it if it means I can be a roleplayer ehe
48. Have you ever made a good friend thanks to your website?: I hope to one day.
49. Are you happy with the way HTML and CSS currently work?: yeeeeess. only issue is with box shadows and images but otherwise its great!!! tons of freedom
50. What are practices that you think people should avoid?: when starting out or trying a element you have never used before don't be afraid to use templates, because of templates I've learned alot... but also avoid using AI for your code, AI has no knowledge on how code works lol... and don't be afraid to ask your webmaster friends for help!!
51. What about under-utilised practices, or things you think people should do more?: learn more html semantic elements! dl and dd are more useful than just making a ton of ids for your p's, haha,,,
52. Do you use a lot of semantic HTML? Or are you guilty of generic structure?: yeeeesssir, used to not use alot but i use it more now
53. Do you consider different browsers?: no, nothing on my site is considered resizable
54. Speaking of, what's your preferred browser? Convince your readers why they should use it.: firefox, very nice, extensions are good. wayyy bbetter than chrome
55. And what OS are you on?: windows 10, i hate windows 11 with a passion
56. Do you have a strong opinion on that, or do you just happen to use it?: euuu unsure
57. Are your websites mobile-friendly?: no... im sorry... one day ill redo the whole website to accomodate other users
58. What are your thoughts on autoplay?: hurts my head if its loudly pitched, please put a warning as your landing if you have autoplay
59. What are your thoughts on webrings? Are you in any?: I'm trying to sign up for some!!! I love webrings, really fun things.
60. Do you have any web shrines? What do you like to see in that sort of page?: yeees, I need to redo my style shrine and nhima shrine but I do have them! I love to just see the creators collection on shrine pages.
61. Are your websites "cliche", in your opinion?: ??? No clue what this might mean so no opinion!
62. What is your ideal website? Are you striving for that, or for something else?: lotsa interactable elements. I am striving for it sorta? not really? I just go with the flow
63. Are you an artist? Do you draw or design your own assets?: YES AND YES!!! Art and coding go hand in hand I tell you!
64. What are your favourite resource sites?: Dont have any :( I guess tumblr blogs or rentries...
65. Is there a habit you just can't get away from no matter how hard you try?: overlaying white on a regular color. IM SORRY. ITS EASY AND IT ALWAYS LOOKS GOOD.
66. What's your biggest advice for a new webmaster?: WATCH TUTORIALS!!! DONT GO INTO THAT SHIT BLIND!!!!!! AND DONT START WITH CSS LEARN THE BASICS OF HTML!!!! .. projecting
67. Do you keep all your styling in CSS? Or do you hard-code some?: 50/50, I do whatever is necessary to achieve the website vision, but mainly im a handcoder, i dont really like using ext. css
68. What do you think of frameset layouts?: Kinda dont like em, sorry!
69. How about table-based layouts?: very awesome I think its cool to see when done right!
70. Do you subscribe to the ideas of "one-column", "two-column" and "three-column" layouts? Do you use any of these?: yea! I think column layouts are really pretty and also clean and fun to scroll down on
71. Do you spend longer on the HTML or the CSS?: HTML. Looking for a bug just to realize my HTML is missing a whatever... yeah...
72. Have you ever made a page with no CSS? It's useful for your thoughts.: Not yet! Maybe I'll give it a try one day hehe.
73. Do you ever find yourself making layouts with nothing to put on them? Or do you only make layouts when the need arises?: ehh nope, only make em when I need them
74. Would you consider yourself a beginner? Or advanced? Somewhere in the middle?: Intermediate, I still need to look stuff up from time to time but usually I am a fast key kinda guy when it comes to coding
75. Do you have a habit of looking at the source code of websites you visit?: yes... especially if they have an element I want to recreate... its so fun, actually theres a little note for fellow source code viewers on one of my pages :P
76. How did YOU learn how to make websites?: W3SCHOOLS AND YOUTUBE TUTORIALS!
77. Do you ever force elements to do things they're not supposed to?: all the time. they will do as I say.
78. Thoughts on floating elements?: Really good to utilize if you know how to use them; personally I am not a good example of this, i abuse the shit out of float:right; ...
79. When you're sizing stuff, what do you use first? Do you use px, em, %, or something else?: pixel warrior forever, sorry!
80. Do you have a favourite font?: bit. minecraft looking kind of fonts or as obvious comic sans :D
81. Would you run a website with another person? How would that work?: I'd love to! it sounds fun! I just think i'm way too busy to work on stuff like that. I'm not sure, I guess multiuser coding sites?
82. Do you surf the Web to find new personal websites very often?: #YUPPP. #mutual me.
83. Do you bookmark other people's websites? How would you feel knowing someone else bookmarked yours?: I SHOULD START DOING THIS,,, BUT NO... I would be so happy to hear if mine was bookmarked
84. What do you want people to be most impressed with when they see your website?: my color choices, the only thing I have ever been proud of
85. Are you interested in technology outside of websites? Do you collect?: nooot really? I mean if you count calculators running shit they shouldnt be running then maybe? and no
86. How often and for how long are you online?: during summer, all the time! during the school year... mostly on weekends.
87. When it comes to your website, who is your target audience?: OTHER TEENS WHO ALSO HAVE WEBSITES WHO WANT FRIENDS. PLEASE PLEASE PLEA / okay seriously my target audience is just people who enjoy my artstyle and color choices + are in the same fandoms as me.
88. Have you ever been interested in XHTML?: not really,,, too scary for me
89. Do you program in general? Have you ever written a program for use with or on your website, not counting simple JavaScript?: nope but I'd love to learn how to!
90. Speaking of programs that help you make websites, what do you think of static site generators (SSGs)? Have you ever used one?: Ive read it and no matter how many times I read I still dont understand so no opinion and I have never used one before
91. Do you keep a hitcounter? Why or why not?: No, not really interested... It's not even a good reason I'm just way too lazy to work on stuff like that.
92. Do you frequent forums? Which ones?: No but id like to one day, hehe immerse myself as izuku
93. Do you write your page content directly into the editor, or do you prepare it elsewhere, like a text document or a Word document?: directly into the editor for small stuff but for huge essays like the filipino essay I wrote in a document.
94. Do you think you appear cool to others? A more accurate answer now: do other people ever say you're cool?: maybe...? people have said i'm cool and I hope one day I'll believe them, i like to say I am though
95. Are you embarrassed of your old work? Have you ever deleted everything out of shame?: no and no!!! im done with hating myself over the past so whatever happens happens, who knows maybe tomorrow I'll find the me of today cringe but hey who cares? its all natural.
96. Would you close down your website if you couldn't update it, or would you leave an archive?: leave an archive, though I'd probably leave my webrings
97. Do you reveal a lot about yourself on your website? Or are you more secretive?: half and haalfff
98. Are you willing to reveal who your best online friend is, and/or if they have a website?: all my friends are my bestfriends! please read my lovemail to learn more about them! though I need to add some friends... soon.
99. And do you optimise the images on your website?: I try my best!
